AUSTIN, Texas. — The No.2 Texas Volleyball suffered the first set back of the season, ending its 18-game unbeaten streak. Emma Halter moves into No. 10 on the UT All-Time career digs list (1,159) with 16 digs along with nine assists. Torrey Stafford recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 24 kills and 11 digs, while Ella Swindle notched her fifth double-double of the season with career-high 49 assists with ten digs. 

Texas outhit Texas A&M with a .329 hitting percentage, higher than the Aggies season opponent hitting percentage at .161. The Longhorns totaled 74 kills in the loss, with three players recorded double digits in kills.

Set One: Texas dropped the opening set of the match against the Aggies 19-25. Stafford and Abby Vander Wal combined ten kills for the Longhorns while Halter registered four digs. 

Set Two: The Longhorns lost the set two despite a 5-0 run led Stafford, who recorded four kills and an ace in that span. The last time Texas dropped the first two sets of a match was against Creighton in the NCAA Regionals on December 13, 2024. 

Set Three: Texas dominated and took the third set with a 7-0 run. Stafford and Vander Wal led the charge with a total of nine kills, while Swindle registered nine assists. The Longhorns had a .387 hitting percentage while limiting the Aggies to .133. 

Set Four: Texas won set four with a 6-0 run and forced a fifth set on the Aggies. The Longhorns hit .469 for the set and recorded 17 kills. Texas forced eight total errors on Texas A&M. Swindle led the team with ten assists in the fourth set.  

Set Five: Texas dropped the last set of the match 13-15 despite Stafford recording five kills while Swindle contributed six assists. The Longhorns recorded a .350 hitting percentage in the final set.

Texas will host No.3 Kentucky on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 12:00 p.m. CT on ESPN.
