After a stunning loss to Arizona State on Friday followed by a clutch win Saturday, Texas softball must win Sunday if it wants to continue to defend its national title. The Longhorns are looking to make it to the Women’s College World Series for the third time in a row and the fourth time in five years. The Sun Devils are seeking their first WCWS berth since 2018.

Super regionals wrap up this weekend with the eight winners moving onto Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series. Those games will begin May 28.
As of Sunday morning, Tennessee, Nebraska, Arkansas, Alabama and UCLA have already made the final eight. Oklahoma and Mississippi State will play for the Normal Super Regional on Sunday; Florida and Texas Tech are playing at noon in Gainesville.
