SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – An officer with the San Antonio Police Department could be out of a job over multiple infractions behind the wheel.
KSAT-12 reports Officer Taylor C. Sanchez is suspended indefinitely for what the department says was excessive speeding, failing to follow traffic laws, and not recording with his body-worn camera.
Records show Sanchez has been disciplined twice since September 2025.
Investigators say Sanchez drove 98 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone despite not being authorized to drive that fast. SAPD says Sanchez was well over the speed limit at least five times in a single shift, and he did so on additional occasions in the days that followed. In one instance, the reports shows Sanchez topped out at 118 mph in a 64 mph zone while responding to a call.
Further infractions included a failure to stop at red lights and stop signs, and driving down a one-way street the wrong way.
