EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A new brunch place has cracked open in West El Paso this Memorial Day, delivering big plates with big flavors.

Assistant General Manager of the Toasted Yolk, Zachary Perez, said that the franchise opened in 2010 and has grown to over 50 locations across the U.S. The El Paso restaurant is the furthest west franchise, with other restaurants in East Texas, Mississippi, Florida and Ohio, to name a few.
“It’s [The Toasted Yolk] is primarily brunch. We focus a lot on Eggs Benedict and what we call our ‘yolks.’ That’s a big thing that’s on our menu. As soon as you pull out the menu, there’s a whole page with like seven or eight items,” Perez said.
The menu at the Toasted Yolk features brunch classics like omelets and sandwiches, but puts a twist on some beloved dishes, such as their dragon fruit pancakes and double-decker omelet.
And the fun doesn’t stop there, as the restaurant also offers a puppy menu for your furry friend.
In addition to the regular hours, the restaurant also offers “Toasted After Dark,” where guests can rent out the restaurant after hours for celebrations or group events with different menu price points.
To celebrate the grand opening of the restaurant, The Toasted Yolk is offering special events throughout the week. Here’s the list of discounts or free items:
Tuesday: Toasted Tuesday Shot Specials
Wednesday: Free French Toast sticks per table
Thursday: Free Banana Peppers per table
Friday: Half-price Mimosas
Franchise owners Charity Vigil, along with Elaine Morales, Alyssa Morales, and Jacob Vigil, said they wanted to bring the brunch-special restaurant to El Paso, something they didn’t see much of in the Sun City.
To welcome the new business, the El Paso Chamber of Commerce lit the Star on the Mountain green in honor of the Toasted Yolk.
Perez highlights that guests coming to the Toasted Yolk can expect a great dining experience with great food.
“They can expect a great warm welcome, they can expect great quality food, Instagram-ready plates, ’cause I know people eat with their eyes first now, before they taste it, and those plates come out looking gorgeous. You can expect your service to take great care of you, and that’s pretty much our expectation. It’s very high, and we want to keep it there,” Perez said.
