Police are investigating a shooting that left three dead and another injured at a short-term rental house in West Dallas on Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3700 block of Vilbig Road about 12:20 a.m., police said in a statement.

Once there, investigators found four people who had been shot by an unknown suspect. Police said two people died at the scene, while the other died at a hospital.

The fourth person is in stable condition, according to the statement. Investigators believe all four adults were at the short-term rental home for a party.

Shortly before 8 a.m., police cars blocked off Vilbig Road at the intersections of Bayside and Leath streets. Police officers entered and exited a two-story home cordoned off with yellow crime scene tape.

Green evidence markers were placed throughout its front yard, in the garage and next to a circle of shattered glass on Bayside Street. A car was towed away from the home where the alleged shooting occurred later in the morning.

Police said no arrests have been made and further information will be released as it becomes available.

This is a developing story.
