DALLAS COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) – A Selma man was killed early Tuesday morning after the bicycle he was riding was hit by a car, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirms.
The crash happened around 4 a.m. on Alabama 14 near the 118 mile marker, approximately two miles west of Selma, in Dallas County.
ALEA says the cyclist, Johnny R. Brown, 61, of Selma, was struck by a 1997 Toyota Corolla driven by a 60-year-old Jones man.
Brown was taken to Vaughan Regional Medical Center where died from his injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
