It’s Election Day for the 2026 primary runoffs in Texas.
This election covers races where no candidate was able to get more than 50% of the vote in the March primary. That includes the Republican U.S. Senate contest, the Democratic lieutenant governor’s race and some local positions, like Travis County commissioner for Precinct 4. The top two candidates compete in the runoff, and the winner makes it to the November general election.

Polls are open until 7 p.m. As long as you’re in line by 7, you can still vote.
