CANUTILLO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 21-year-old man was arrested Thursday following a foot chase after he was allegedly caught inside a Canutillo middle school after hours.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Roberto Federico Perez was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass and evading arrest/detention after he was caught inside the Jose J. Alderete Middle School campus.
Deputies described telling Perez he was not permitted on school grounds before Perez allegedly took off running.
After what the Sheriff’s Office described as a “brief chase,” Perez was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Jail under a combined bond of $3,000.
Jail records show Perez was released from jail after posting a surety bond that very same day.
