Galleria Dallas confirmed to Chron on Tuesday afternoon that Tiffany &Co. would be closing at the mall at the end of May.
“We’re grateful for their years with us and remain energized by the momentum of what’s ahead—with new retailers continuing to join our lineup and even more announcements coming soon, the evolution of Galleria Dallas is well underway,” a spokesperson with Galleria Dallas said in a statement.
It remains unclear what retailer, if any, might fill the company’s tenant space. Tiffany & Co. did not immediately respond to Chron’s request for comment.
Tiffany & Co. first opened at the Galleria Dallas in 1982—the first location in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, according to the Dallas Business Journal. The store is currently located at 13350 Dallas Pkwy. on level one.
The luxury jeweler currently operates three other locations in the Dallas area, including at NorthPark Center, Legacy West in Plano, and The Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth.
The store’s closure follows a series of changes at the well-known North Dallas shopping center.
In March, longtime anchor and high-end department store Nordstrom announced it would be closing its doors at the Galleria Dallas, its first Texas storefront. Just one week prior, Trademark Company—the mall’s management partner—announced that the Galleria Dallas was entering into a “new era,” welcoming eight new tenants and completing “significant property enhancements.”
