Wingo caught a 14-yard screen pass down the left sideline before appearing to suffer an injury to his hand or arm. He jogged to the injury tent first, then left for the locker room. He did not return for the subsequent Texas drive.Â
The sophomore wide receiver opened the scoring Saturday with a 75-yard touchdown on a similar screen play to the opposite side. He’s the Longhorns’ leading receiver, entering Saturday’s game with 504 receiving yards to his name. Wingo broke out in a big way last week against Mississippi State, catching five passes for 184 yards.Â
If Wingo can’t return to the game, it’s likely that Emmett Mosley V, DeAndre Moore Jr. and Parker Livingstone would carry the majority of the load at receiver. Livingstone has been the most productive of that trio, entering the game with 330 yards and five touchdowns on the season.Â
Mosley, who has played just four games after arriving from Stanford with an injury, began action this week with 132 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner last week. Â
