EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso Sector Border Patrol Targeting Unit, working in coordination with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ICE/ERO), conducted a targeted enforcement operation that led to the arrest of two suspected members of the Venezuelan criminal organization Tren de Aragua in the El Paso area.

According to officials, the individuals were found to be illegally present in the United States at the time of their arrest.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of the suspects or additional details regarding the circumstances of the operation.

It’s unknown where and when the operation happened.

Tren de Aragua is a transnational criminal group originating in Venezuela.

The investigation remains ongoing.
