EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A man accused of using a drone to monitor a home after following a victim home was arrested in El Paso after deputies responded to a family violence call, authorities said.

On Saturday, at 7:38 a.m., deputies responded to the 600 block of Paseo Modesto Drive.

The victim reported that 26-year-old Cristobal Gonzalez followed them to their residence, damaged property, and caused them to fear for their safety due to prior incidents.

Surveillance footage showed Gonzalez using a drone to monitor the residence, according to investigators.

Deputies later located Gonzalez in the 13000 block of Powick Drive and took him into custody without incident.

Detectives later executed a search warrant on his vehicle, where a drone and controller were recovered.

Gonzalez was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on charges of stalking, theft of property and criminal trespass.

His total bond was set at $27,000.
