LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – On Wednesday, the Big 12 Conference announced game times for the first two weeks of the 2026 season for its members including Texas Tech.
The Red Raiders will open the season with a 6 p.m. night game on Sept. 5 in Lubbock when it hosts the Abilene Christian Wildcats. The game will be televised on FS1.
Texas Tech hits the road in week two to take on Oregon State at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 in Corvallis with the game airing on CBS.
As previously announced, the Red Raiders will host the Houston Cougars on FOX at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18 in Lubbock. The other previous game-time announcement was for the Thanksgiving meeting between Texas Tech and TCU, which is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN on Nov. 26 in Lubbock.
The rest of the schedule will be under the traditional 12-day or six-day selection window the Big 12 uses per its television agreement with its TV networks.
