The massive playscape at Mt Playmore in Austin, Texas, is touted as the largest indoor playscape in the state by the venue. My children, niece and nephew loved going down the slides, hanging on the monkey bars and playing with the suction pipes watching the bandanas fly into the air.

AUSTIN, Texas — School is out and now we are hearing the “I’m bored” phase throughout the day, and with the way Texas is set up, going outside may not be feasible some days. So, what do we do? We find an air-conditioned place where parents can relax and children can run wild, ready to take a nap once back in the car, giving us more quiet time and relaxation.
Mt Playmore is a great place to make this happen. About an hour away in Austin, the facility provides activities for all ages to enjoy, which is great for me since my children range from toddlers to preteen. I even enjoy going here, but I am also a big child at heart.

The big draw my littles enjoy is the massive playscape. It has many zigs and zags, swings, slides and climbing mechanisms. The playscape even accommodates adults, so you can rescue the littles or play right along with them. For the parents and grandparents that just want to watch all the fun, they have comfortable seating available that gives a 360-degree view of the playscape area.
Now, if you feel the playscape is still a little too big for your baby, because, let’s be honest, children can be rowdy when having fun, they have a toddler area great for those still a little wobbly on their feet or those who need a calmer area. The website says the area is over 1,400 sq. ft. I do not dabble in construction, so I am not sure exactly what 1,400 sq. ft. looks like. It sounds like the size of a studio apartment and that’s not very big, but it is a great space for toddlers with interactive toys and climbing mechanisms.

For my older crowd, you know, the preteens that get dragged along for the ride because they are not old enough to stay home by themselves, but are “too old” for a jungle gym, Mt Playmore has a fantastic arcade room with a lot of the classics like skee-ball and more modern games like the virtual reality experiences.
This is a place you can spend hours at since there is no time limit for the use of the facility. However, that means hunger will eventually set in. The facility does not allow outside food, but they provide a good menu with made-to-order items such as wraps, burgers, sweet treats and beverages (children and adult), with prices on par with similar event spaces. I made sure my children ate beforehand to avoid buying more than small items such as appetizers or sharing entrees.
The first time we visited Mt Playmore in Austin, Texas, it was perfect for my little one who could not do all the climbing in the playscape.

The price for Mt Playmore is relatively affordable. Children 6 months or younger are free, 7 to 36 months are $8.99, 3 to 15 years are $12.99 and 16 and older are $1.99, with an increase of $1 for children 7 months to 15 years on the weekends.
I have been here during the week and on the weekend, and each time the number of people was not overwhelming, and I was able to keep great supervision on my children. I also like that guardians and children must be stamped, and it is checked on the way out the door.
