Austin’s restaurant scene is about to get a little more “Cry Me a River” chic.

Pop star Justin Timberlake and restaurateur Sam Fox are teaming up again — this time in Texas. According to the Austin Business Journal, the duo’s Nashville hotspot The Twelve Thirty Club is headed to 210 W. Sixth St., landing inside the city’s old post office building next to the new Indeed Tower.

The space — all 30,000 square feet of it — has been mostly restored on the outside but gutted within, setting the stage for what’s likely to be a dramatic glow-up. The Nashville version, which opened in 2021, is basically a three-story fever dream of live music, moody lighting and midcentury supper club energy.

Fox, whose Fox Restaurant Concepts empire sold to The Cheesecake Factory in 2019, brought Timberlake into the mix for the Nashville debut. The space there seems to ooze “countrypolitan” style. The design was inspired by the blend that defined 1970s Nashville, a vibe that feels kind of perfect for modern-day Austin.

If the team stays true to form in Austin, diners can expect a mix of steakhouse indulgence, live music and dramatic lighting that makes everyone look just a little more famous than they are.

As for the Nashville menu? Think lobster spaghetti, maple-glazed short ribs, truffle cheese bread and cocktails with names like “Smoked Peach Sour.” It’s giving “Mad Men” meets honky tonk, and soon, Austin will get its turn.

An opening date hasn’t been announced — so until then, Austin will just have to sit tight, sip something local and practice looking effortlessly cool for the reservation line.
