CLEBURNE – Barbara Sue Hill, 86, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, at her home in Cleburne, Texas. Born June 16, 1939, in Saltillo, Texas, Barbara was the daughter of Charles Arthur and Lorene (Tucker) Arthur. On January 23, 1959, she married her high school sweetheart, Stuart Cecil Hill, in Fort Worth, Texas, beginning a partnership that would span 65 years. Together, Barbara and Stuart built a life full of adventure and purpose – traveling the world, working overseas, and putting down roots on their farm in Oklahoma, where they grew hay and she pursued a passion for showing Rottweilers. Through it all, nothing brought Barbara more joy than her family. A devoted mother and beloved Memaw, she was known for her warmth, and her generous spirit. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart. She is survived by her sons, Stuart C. Hill Jr. and his wife, Melanie, parents of Austin and Alex; and Jefferson S. Hill and his wife, Sarah, parents of Scot and Samantha. Barbara Sue Hill will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
