After a week of turmoil and rumors, the Fort Worth Braves have announced they will suspend all football operations. Some of the Braves roster played against the Toros this past weekend on the Tennessee Hornets roster. After a significant amount of rumors came to light this weekend, the team folding comes as much less of a surprise to most.
The Fort Worth Braves were scheduled to play the Tall City Black Gold on Saturday. What is to be made of the Braves remaining scheduled appearances remains to be seen. When the Indianapolis Capitols and Michigan Arrows folded, they were replaced with “Ancillary Market Teams” (Teams that represent future CoFL teams, but are not yet official CoFL teams.)

Another ancillary market team makes the most sense as the CoFL continues to maintain its stance on finishing out its season. The CoFL week one schedule includes the Cincinnati Dukes playing the Indy Bison, while the San Antonio Toros play the Texas Syndicate. It remains to be seen if the Tall City Black Gold will still play a game this weekend.
