The Plano Plan Commission has posted the agenda for Monday’s meeting, which will include the first presentation from Savion Energy on its proposed Plano Skies solar project since the company submitted applications to City Hall for annexation, rezoning and special use permits.

The meeting will be held at the Plano High School auditorium at 704 West Abe Street at 6 p.m. The public can enter through Door 2, Door 27 or Door 28.
The 1,500-acre solar project has drawn concerns from neighbors and other residents over several issues, including the loss of farmland, drainage issues and the possibility of broken panels creating problems. Little Rock Township has passed a resolution opposing commercial solar.
Meanwhile, the project has been supported by local unions, whose members could be hired to build the facility. A data center that was part of one iteration of the project has been removed.
The meeting will also be streamed online.
