“If I see an Open House sign in a neighborhood, I’m one hundred percent going in—that’s just the type of person that I am,” Kristy says of her house hunting days. She even put in an offer on a property she’d fallen in love with. But after it fell through, the Houston-based influencer took matters into her own hands, with the help of Novi Home Builders.

“The boys creep into my room at night,” Kristy says of her extra large custom Nina Magon Studio bed. “I’m not trying to get kicked in the face,” she laughs when thinking about her young sons. “They sleep crazy.” The walls are covered in a custom plaster design.

A few words acted as the driving force behind the design: “Modern, soft, and very calm,” Kristy says. That and “a bunch of huge windows.” Kristy tapped designer Nina Magon to help execute her vision. “It really all started with this idea of a neutral, bright space,” Magon says of the early days collaborating with the online star. The rest of the project was pretty much seamless, Magon says.

“The movement in the lines of the travertine counter was very important to her,” Magon recalls of her client’s attention to precise detail. In the kitchen and dining area, a dark Chiara Andreatti dining table provides some weight to the otherwise airy space. The chairs are by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso. The glasses and teapot are by Sophie Lou Jacobsen.
