EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso’s Stephanie Han and Albuquerque’s Holly Holm made weight this morning on Friday, May 29, one day before their highly anticipated rematch in the main event of MVPW-03 live on ESPN from the El Paso County Coliseum.

The official commission weigh-ins took place Friday morning. Unlike ceremonial weigh-ins, commission weigh-ins are the official sessions where fighters must meet their contracted weight limits in order for the bout to be sanctioned.

Han successfully made weight at 134.6 pounds. She needed to come in at 135 pounds or less to remain eligible to defend her WBA lightweight title.

Her opponent, Holly Holm, also made weight at 134.7 pounds.

With both fighters clearing the scale, the championship bout is officially on.

Han’s WBA lightweight title will be on the line Saturday night, while Holm looks to take the belt in enemy territory in what has been one of the most anticipated fights of the year.

Amanda Serrano, Cheyenne Hanson, Desley Robinson, Mary Spencer, Lourdes Juárez, and Yokasta Valle all made weight Friday morning for their respective bouts on the MVPW-03 main card.
