LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A quiet start to May on the rain front really switched up for the second half. It looks like we’re kicking off June over the next week with a wetter pattern for most of the area as rain chances and cooler weather return.
TONIGHT
Mild and quiet. Overnight lows will drop into the 60s once again. Winds slow down to around 10 to 20 mph.

SUNDAY
Gorgeous, hot and breezy. High temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 90s and lower 100s.

Winds stay breezy, gusting up to 30 mph again. A small chance for a few showers and storms in the afternoon for a select few will pop up again.
EXTENDED WEATHER PATTERN
It’ll be a slow start to rain chances for Monday.

Moving into Tuesday and the middle portion of next week we’re eyeing chances for scattered to widespread rain and storms for a good chunk of the area.
