ARLINGTON — Sophomore wide receiver Kason Brown had four total touchdowns to lead Arlington past Grand Prairie, 49-7, Friday night at UTA’s Maverick Stadium.
Arlington (5-3, 3-3 in District 8-6A) led wire to wire and didn’t allow a Grand Prairie (2-7, 1-5) touchdown until the final moments of the game. Brown accumulated three of his four scores in the first half to boost Arlington to a 28-0 lead at the break.
With the win, Arlington is tied with Arlington Lamar and Haltom for third place at 3-3 in 8-6A divisional play. Those three schools will be battling next week for the division’s last two playoff spots.
