A man was fatally stabbed in Fort Worth Saturday night and a suspect was detained, police said.
Fort Worth police officers responded to an assault call about 10: 30 p.m. in the 2400 block Lillian Street, police said in a news release.
When officers arrived, they found a man with at least one stab wound. Officers and Fort Worth Fire personnel provided medical care, but the victim died at the scene, police said.

About 11:50 p.m., a man approached an officer in the 2500 block of NE 28th Street and told police that he believed he had stabbed somebody, according to police.
The man was detained and taken to the crime scene, police said. Further details about charges related to the stabbing have not been announced.
Police said homicide detectives are investigating the stabbing. Details about what happened during the altercation are still being gathered, according to the release.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the man who died after next of kin have been notified.
