One of the top Fourth of July fireworks shows takes place right here in North Texas. Tickets for the event go on sale today, June 1.

ADDISON, Texas — Tickets for Addison’s Kaboom Town fireworks celebration are on sale now, and this year is expected to be one of the event’s busiest, according to organizers. 

The Addison fireworks show is consistently ranked one of the best in the country, most recently by USA Today, WFAA previously reported. And with this year being the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, guests can expect an even bigger and better show, organizers said.

Tickets to the watch party in Addison Circle Park go on sale at 10 a.m. June 1, Addison Kaboom town said in a press release. Tickets to the event sell out every year. 

The price of tickets varies depending on age, organizers said. People ages 10 and older will pay $10, and children aged two to nine get in for $5. Children ages two and younger get in for free. 

This year, the Patriotic Pergola, provided by the Association of the United States Army, will commemorate the 250th anniversary with flags of all 50 states and 5 territories, arranged in the order they were admitted into the union. 

Along with the typical festive food and beverage options, entertainment will include performances by the Emerald City All-Stars and Poo Live Crew. Attendees can also expect a silent disco, all before 7:30 p.m., when the Addison Airport Airshow begins. The annual show will feature a team of skydivers and several historic war birds, according to the release. 

Then, of course, the fireworks show will begin! 

“The fireworks at Addison Kaboom Town! are legendary and have been ranked among the top fireworks shows in the U.S. since they started in 1985,” the release says. 

If you can’t secure tickets, there are plenty of options to view the fireworks from afar, organizers said. A list of watchparties will be available on the Kaboom Town website.
