SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – A woman from Texas has been arrested by the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) after assaulting emergency room (E.R.) staff at a hospital in Shreveport.
On May 29, just after 2 a.m., police were sent out to the Highland Hospital after hospital security reported an assault involving medical staff, says SPD.
It was determined by investigators that Diana Ordonez, 22, of Fort Worth, Texas, was cleared medically to leave the hospital, but she refused to leave and became combative with staff.
It was reported that Ordonez spat in the face of one E.R. nurse and kicked another nurse before officers got to the hospital, says SPD.

She was later taken into custody and charged with two counts of battery of emergency room personnel.
She is now in jail at the Caddo Correctional Center.
