H-E-B will open its first Dallas County store soon. Here’s when.

H-E-B’s newest store in Irving will open later this month, the grocery chain announced.

IRVING, Texas — H-E-B’s latest store will open in the Las Colinas community of Irving later this month, the grocer announced. 

The store will officially open its doors at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, at 2351 West Interstate 635, H-E-B said in a press release. The new H-E-B will mark the first full-sized store in Dallas County, WFAA previously reported. 

Right now, the closest H-E-B store for Dallas residents has been in Plano — over 22 miles away. The Las Colinas location would still be around 18 miles away from the city of Dallas. H-E-B also plans to start construction on an H-E-B within the city of Dallas next year. 

The new store will be nearly 120,000 square feet. 

H-E-B currently operates over 455 stores in Texas and Mexico.
