PALESTINE, Texas (KLTV) – Westwood quarterback and 5-star recruit Kavian Bryant announced his commitment to Texas Tech University on Saturday.
Bryant chose Texas Tech over Texas, SMU, Florida State and Colorado.
As a freshman, Bryant threw for 2,282 yards, 33 touchdowns and 7 interceptions he also ran for 812 yards and 9 touchdowns, while leading Westwood to a 9-3 record. His sophomore season, Bryant threw for 2,442 yards, 34 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, while running for 709 yards and 11 touchdowns. Westwood went 11-1 last year.
This year, Bryant’s junior season, Westwood is 7-2 with one game remaining in the regular season against Huntington.
