“Corpus Christi has been chosen.” Coastal Bend Food Bank teases upcoming event at Whataburger Field

And so far, all signs point to a choice being made at Whataburger Field…

In a cryptic Facebook post Monday, the Food Bank teased a countdown to Oct. 10, 2026, claiming that Corpus Christi has been “chosen.” 

The post also included a link to a new page on the Coastal Bend Food Bank website titled “The Chosen Interfaith Celebration.” On it, the Food Bank confirms the following:

The page also confirms special guests will attend or perform at the event, with those announcements being made over the coming weeks. 

People are already pondering the possibilities – with one commenter hoping for a George Strait appearance!
