EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14) — Downtown El Paso was filled with music, food and community spirit as the Selena and Salsa Market returned for its second year in Union Plaza.
The Downtown Management District invited the public to attend the free, family-friendly event Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The celebration was inspired by the legacy of Selena and featured more than 40 market and food vendors, a live Selena tribute performance by Jezzika Sax, a Selena look-alike contest, and a salsa tasting competition.
The Downtown Management District partnered with La Nube STEAM Discovery Center and the Mexican American Cultural Center once again to bring the event back.
Aside from offering live entertainment, organizers said the event also allows visitors to support local vendors.
