A major crash has caused traffic delays after it led to a partial shutdown on a busy San Antonio interstate on Tuesday, June 1. It happened on the Northeast side at around 7:17 a.m.

The accident occurred on I-35 North at TX-281, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). It was completely blocking the left lane, per the traffic monitoring site SigAlert.

Commuters were snailing along the roadways, with most moving between 6 and 24 mph. Folks were backed up to Starlight and Thousand Oaks, roughly six exits back.

While the crash has cleared, traffic delays linger, and SigAlert says drivers could be stuck for about 20 minutes.
