A Celina classroom teacher was arrested at Moore Middle School for allegedly endangering a child on Thursday afternoon.

The Celina Police Department responded to a call regarding 40-year-old Jainya Walder, who, according to police, appeared to be impaired.

Walder was questioned and taken into custody at Moore Middle School. The school’s website said Walder is a secondary English teacher.

Walder was booked into the Collin County Jail on the charge of endangering a child, a second-degree felony, and is being held on a $50,000 bond. It’s unclear whether Walder has obtained an attorney to speak on her behalf.

No further details were provided by Celina Police.
