The Dallas Cowboys have struggled to gain momentum thus far in the 2025 season. Following victories in Week 2, Week 5, and Week 7, they’ve been unable to captiliize and form a winning streak. On the other hand, they’ve bounced back after losses in Week 1, and Week 6. With a rare tie taking place in Week 4, the club hasn’t had the same result in two consecutive weeks yet this year, certifying the campaign as a roller coaster.
Following their Week 8 loss in Denver, the club sits with a 3-4-1 record, with a ton of questions as the trade deadline approaches. Dallas would love to get the opportunity to return to the win column, but as is always the case during the middle months of the NFL year, a lot of teams aren’t playing each and every Sunday.
There are four teams having their bye week this week. Philadelphia (6-2), Tampa Bay (6-2), Cleveland (2-6) and the New York Jets (1-7) all have the week off. The Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins played on Thursday night.
That’s six teams which won’t suit up on Sunday, in addition to the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals, who won’t take the field until Monday night.

For the Cowboys, this is a must win game. They cannot afford to fall two games below .500 at this stage of the season, especially with that tie on their record.
To reach back to .500, the club will need to take down the Cardinals, who have lost five in a row, but all of them in close games. The Cardinals are just -13 in their losing streak, being in each game until the bitter end.
To make matters worse, some Cowboys fans will be blacked out from MNF depending on who their provider is.
