The National Weather Service (NWS) says things will start tame. Throughout the morning, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 89 degrees. However, after 1 p.m., folks could see lightning and hear constant thunder.
There’s a 40% chance of rain in the Alamo City after 1 p.m. The likelihood for showers remains through the nighttime hours, just as the Spurs game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. A low of 73 degrees is expected with winds at about 10 miles per hour.

Farther north, the storm clouds could be more prevalent. San Marcos is currently looking at a 45% rain chance, while New Braunfels and Fredericksburg are floating between a 50 and 65% risk. Counties could see anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of rainfall. It’s a part of a larger wet pattern the state is experiencing.
“In South-Central Texas, June typically represents a transition between a more active and stormy spring to a drier summer,” the NWS said. “However, heavy rain with flash flooding potential is as common of a threat in June as it is in May.”
