SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — Emergency crews responded to a vehicle-versus-house crash Wednesday morning in the 1100 block of Brass Hill, according to fire officials.
The incident was reported at approximately 4:11 a.m., prompting a response from fire personnel and other emergency responders.
Officials said a vehicle crashed into a residence, causing damage to the home’s exterior wall.
Firefighters evaluated one individual at the scene, though no information regarding injuries has been released.
During the response, firefighters also rescued a dog that was inside the residence at the time of the crash.
The animal was safely removed from the home and no injuries to the dog were reported.
In addition to the rescue, fire personnel worked to stabilize the damaged outer wall of the residence and assisted in securing the property by covering a broken window.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Sunland Park Police Department.
No further information has been released.
