The month of June brings an exciting intersection of two community celebrations: Pride Month and Juneteenth.
This special edition of The Soundcheck concert roundup features musical celebrations from local Black and LGBTQ+ communities.
The Woman’s Club of Fort Worth
Freedom Soul Cypher will kick off this year’s Freedom Vibes festival. Touted as the nation’s premier Juneteenth festival, the 2026 theme “nostalgic joy” celebrates the practice of looking back with gratitude and forward with possibility. In collaboration with Artistry Soul Collective, this R&B cypher will feature raw vocals by J.Aeria, Kevin the Singer, Chef Dee and Alex Royal, with band accompaniment by N3W-Wav.

Tulips FTW
“Live OUT Loud” at Tulips blends together two art forms in celebration of Pride with live music and drag. This event features musical stylings of The Bikini Whales, bringing your favorite B-52s covers and 80s hits to the stage. The night will culminate with a drag performance to their live music stylings featuring queens and kings from across North Texas.

Broadway Baptist Church
Turtle Creek Chorale comes to Fort Worth on their spring 2026 tour “Pride As Big As Texas.” Featuring works by artists like Willie Nelson, Kacey Musgraves and Beyoncé — alongside original compositions by Marques L. A. Garrett, Victor Johnson and Patrick Vu — this concert celebrates the LGBTQ+ community, allies and the state of Texas.

The Bearded Lady
Trinity Pride Fest 2026 brings Pride back to South Main Village and live music back to The Bearded Lady. Opening with DJ Slutpunk at 4 p.m., Heavy Petal taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. and closing out the night with a set by Hen and the Cocks, these punk and protest vibes perfectly underscore our Fort Worth Pride celebration.
