MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – UPDATE: Evacuation orders issued earlier for the 30 block of Burns Road near Manitou Springs were lifted, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office at about 3:30 a.m.
ORIGINAL COVERAGE: The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has issued an evacuation order due to a fire near Manitou Springs.
According to the sheriff’s office, people in the 30 block of Burns Road are being ordered to evacuate immediately.
The fire was reported near El Paso Boulevard between Washington Avenue and Pinon Lane.
Officials have not released information about the size of the fire or whether any structures are threatened.
Residents in the evacuation area are urged to leave now and follow directions from emergency crews.
