LSU baseball has added a commitment from Texas State shortstop Dawson Park via the transfer portal; he announced the news on social media on Friday.

Park had a .962 on-base plus slugging percentage and 13 home runs as a sophomore for the Bobcats. He committed 10 errors and experienced a spike in his power thanks to an elevated fly ball rate that rose from 31.1% as a freshman to 45.9% as a sophomore.

Park only played in 48 games this season after leaving the program in early May, after he reportedly got into an on-field altercation with a teammate during Texas State’s loss to South Alabama on May 3.
