The Texas Medical Board suspended the license of Samuel Byungsung Lee, claiming his continued practice of medicine “poses a continuing threat to public welfare.”
AUSTIN, Texas — An Austin doctor has had his license temporarily suspended by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
The TMB said a disciplinary panel temporarily suspended the license of Samuel Byungsung Lee, while claiming that his continued practice of medicine “poses a continuing threat to public welfare.” The suspension was effective as of May 27.
The suspension comes after the TMB said Lee was arrested and charged with manslaughter in Florida.
TMB said a temporary suspension hearing with notice will be held as soon as it can, with 10 days’ notice to Lee unless he specifically chooses to waive the hearing.
The temporary suspension will remain in place until the TMB takes further action.
