LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE) – The South Plains Association of Governments is kicking off its 2026 WTX Small Business Summit Summer Workshop Series with its first session.
The Summer Workshop Series will include free lunchtime workshops in June, July, and August, leading up to the full-day WTX Small Business Summit on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

The June 5 workshop will focus on practical ways small businesses can begin using AI in day-to-day operations, including areas such as operations, sales, customer experience, decision-making, and workflow support. Upcoming workshops in the series will include Small Business Refinancing and Credit Repair.

These workshops will continue building toward the WTX Small Business Summit, which brings together small business owners, entrepreneurs, lenders, resource partners, and community organizations from across the South Plains region.
