TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – U.S. Rep. Nathaniel Moran (R-Texas) talked about whether he’ll support Ken Paxton after endorsing Sen. John Cornyn in the Senate runoff, which Paxton won, in this week’s edition of East Texas Politics on East Texas Now.
Blake Holland talked with Moran about whether he fears political retribution after endorsing Cornyn, which was opposite of President Trump’s endorsement of Paxton. Paxton is now the Republican party’s nominee.
Moran also discussed his vote against the War Powers Act resolution, the possibility of East Texas being key in mining lithium for the U.S. military and his endorsement of John Nix in the Tyler mayoral runoff election.
Holland also talked with Tyler Mayor Don Warren, whose term will end June 24, when the next mayor is sworn in. Warren discussed his endorsement of councilman Stuart Hene in the runoff race. Election Day is June 13.
Warren also talked about what he thinks the next mayor’s biggest challenge will be and what he’s most proud of during his term leading the city.
