In the years since he won First Prize and Grand Prix at the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition, Daniil Trifonov has accrued more accolades than any other pianist of his generation, from a Grammy win to countless “artist of the year” designations and being made a “Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” by the French government.

At this one-night special engagement, Trifonov will perform Handel’s Suite No. 5 followed by a love letter to Latin America (inspired by his Dominican wife) with pieces by Villa-Lobos, Landestoy, Ginastera, and a Tango of his own composition.
