Kumar Rocker took a no-decision after allowing two runs on six hits in five innings, while Jacob Latz got the final six outs for his ninth save of the season.

Rookie Travis Bazzana opened the game with a home run and Austin Hedges gave the Guardians a 2-0 lead with an RBI single in the fourth before the game got away from starter Parker Messick (6-2) in the sixth. Right-hander Jack Leiter (3-4) gets the ball for the Rangers on Saturday night, entering with a 4.34 ERA and 1.327 WHIP in 12 starts and 66.1 innings while striking out 74. Cleveland goes with right-hander Tanner Bibee (0-7), who comes in with a 4.57 ERA and 1.304 WHIP in 13 starts and 69 innings.
