Viriginia ‘Ginger’ Thompson, 82, of Fort Worth, TX passed away on June 4, 2026. Ginger was born in Cooper, TX. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a lengthy career at Levitz Furniture where she rose to the rank of Regional Front Office Manager including setting up new stores around the country. She loved to travel and see new places. Ginger is survived by her sons, Gary Thompson and wife, Beth Thompson of Livingston, TX, Joel Thompson of Fort Worth, TX, and Rickey Thompson of Fort Worth, TX; granddaughter, Emily Thompson of Livingston, TX, whom she loved with all her heart; and her sister, Martha Beth Young of Weatherford, TX. Ginger is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Eddrie Preas; and her sister, Sandra Millar. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7th at 6:00 – 7:00pm at Greenwood Funeral Homes, 3344 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, TX 76107 and the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 8th at 2:30 pm at Greenwood Funeral Homes.
