TxDOT will open the eastbound I-10 entrance ramp from Camp Bullis Road, weather permitting. While many will gain access there, TxDOT is closing the eastbound I-10 entrance ramp after La Cantera Parkway and the eastbound I-10 exit at 556B, weather permitting.

Drivers looking to access the eastbound I-10 mainlanes will head westbound on the I-10 frontage road and use the U-turn at Camp Bullis Road, entering the eastbound I-10 frontage road. Drivers may then enter the eastbound I-10 mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.

Drivers on eastbound I-10 looking to exit to La Cantera Parkway via Exit 556B will use Exit 555 to enter the eastbound I-10 frontage road. They will follow it through the La Cantera Parkway intersection.

Both are part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, which is a $1.4 billion investment in 23 miles of transportation improvements designed to “increase mobility, reduce congestion and enhance safety on one of the most congested corridors in the state.”

The project includes plans for six construction segments along the Loop 1604 corridor from SH 16 (Bandera Rd.) to I-35. The Texas Transportation Commission has designated the Loop 1604 North Expansion project as part of the statewide Texas Clear Lanes initiative, which is organized to address the most congested areas in the state.
