For Texans look to cash in on some extra deals, Sam’s Club is poised to kick off a major revamp project at one of its Lone Star outposts.
Sam’s Club is slated to begin a remodel project at its Fort Worth warehouse store this summer, according to project filings registered on Wednesday, June 3 with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The renovations, estimated at approximately $3 million, are expected to kick off around July 19 and complete work around November 5, based on preliminary details included in the TDLR documents.
Located at 4400 Bryant Irvin Road, Fort Worth, TX 76132, the project’s scope entails new refrigerated cases, new vision and hearing centers, a new rotisserie section alongside a new cafe area. Other elements included upgraded fire sprinklers and lighting fixtures, coolers and associate amenities.
Sam’s Club, the membership-only warehouse club retail chain, rivals other mainstay, big budget retailers like Costco Wholesale and BJ’s Wholesale Club. As of mid-May, Sam’s Club currently oversees more than 600 membership warehouse stores across the United States, according to data resource ScrapeHero.
Here in Texas, the Lone Star State is currently home to 82 Sam’s Club locations. Houston and San Antonio are where the warehouse chain has its most prominent footprint, with seven and six warehouses each, while Dallas and Austin trail slightly behind with five stores and four warehouse locations, respectively.
