Officers found a man lying in the roadway as they responded to a shooting call at 9:54 p.m. in the 100 block of Nursery Lane, Fort Worth police said in a news release.
The unidentified man had at least one apparent gunshot wound, police said. He was provided medical care but died at the scene.
Several witnesses in the area heard gunshots and observed a person leaving the location, police said.
Police have detained a person of interest, according to the news release.
