The Polish diplomat observed that even those who do not explicitly know Christ are often inspired by values rooted in the Gospel, including respect for human dignity, solidarity, forgiveness, compassion, and care for the poor.
Acknowledging the challenges facing society, including violence, division, corruption, injustice, and widespread searching for meaning and hope, Archbishop Jagodziński encouraged the faithful not to lose courage despite the many difficulties.
“Never lose courage. Christ remains with His Church. Christ remains with His people. Christ remains with you,” he said.
The Nuncio underscored the importance of the Holy Eucharist, describing it as “God’s answer to human weakness.”
“Whenever we feel tired, discouraged, or burdened by life’s challenges, the Lord invites us to come to Him. He does not abandon us. He feeds us with His own life,” he said.
“Jesus Christ, hidden under the appearance of bread, enters our lives and transforms us from within. He renews our hearts, strengthens our faith, heals our wounds, and gives us the courage to continue our journey. He does not promise a life without difficulties, but He promises that we will never face those difficulties alone,” he added.
The Vatican diplomat noted that true Eucharistic participation prioritizes actions such as blessing others, gratitude, and generosity over hatred and revenge.
“They learn to give generously of their time, talents, resources, prayers, and compassion. The Eucharist teaches us how to love,” he said.
The Catholic Archbishop expressed gratitude to the parishioners of the Holy Spouses for their immense growth in faith, not only through prayers but also through actions.
“Through your sacrifices, your volunteer work, your contributions, and your perseverance, you help ensure that this parish remains a welcoming spiritual home for present and future generations. In a particular way, I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the electricity project,” he said.
