CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Police are investigating a fatal altercation between two men that occurred on June 8, 2026, in Corpus Christi.
Officers were dispatched to the 4300 block of Valdez Drive at 7:24 p.m. in response to a physical altercation, according to a press release from the Corpus Christi Police Department. Upon arrival, they found a male with visible injuries who directed them to the 900 block of Blooming Street to locate the other individual involved.
The second male was found at a nearby residence and received aid from officers until medics arrived. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The first male was also taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
Robbery and homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate. Preliminary findings indicate that the two men were acquainted and a disturbance led to the altercation, stated the source.
