Drivers can expect traffic delays on a highway already known for congestion. The Texas Department of Transportation announced the sudden closure of a portion of Loop 410 on Tuesday, June 9.
The southbound lanes on Loop 410 at Ray Ellison Blvd have been closed for repairs, according to TxDOT’s post on X. TxDOT warned drivers to expect delays in that area. The state agency did not disclose how long the repairs will take.
On the other side of town, TxDOT also closed a major ramp along Interstate 10 starting Monday, June 8. The closure is the eastbound I-10 entrance ramp after La Cantera Parkway and the eastbound I-10 exit at 556B.
Drivers looking to access the eastbound I-10 mainlanes will head westbound on the I-10 frontage road and use the U-turn at Camp Bullis Road, entering the eastbound I-10 frontage road. Drivers may then enter the eastbound I-10 mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
Drivers on eastbound I-10 looking to exit to La Cantera Parkway via Exit 556B will use Exit 555 to enter the eastbound I-10 frontage road. They will follow it through the La Cantera Parkway intersection.
