PASO, Texas (KTSM) — KTSM learned Tuesday morning, June 9, that a male’s body was recovered from the 10700 block of Socorro Road on Monday, June 8.
El Paso Police clarified that the body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, was recovered from the scene.
Monday evening, law enforcement reportedly responded to a “water recovery of an adult man.”
The call came in at 7:17 p.m., along the 10700 block of Socorro Road, near a canal in the area.
This comes after law enforcement recovered a body on Tuesday, June 2, near Rio Grande Levy 45 in El Paso’s Lower Valley.

A spokesperson with the El Paso Fire Department said water rescue teams were on scene to assist in the situation. Authorities identified the individual involved in the situation only as an adult male.

KTSM asked if EPPD has reason to believe that a criminal act occurred related to the incident, to which they responded, “No.”
KTSM 9 News reached out to the Socorro Police Department for information. EPPD said that Socorro Police were not involved in any type of investigation.
